Nokia unviels 5800 XpressMusic Smartphone – A iphone killer or Not ??

Today, Nokia has unveiled its touch-screen smartphone - the 5800 XpressMusic. The 5800 XpressMusic introduces the 'Media Bar', a drop down menu that provides direct access to music and entertainment, including favourite tracks, videos and photos.

Features available on Nokia 5800:

• 3.2-inches screen and has a 16:9 aspect ratio
• 3.2 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics and dual LED flash
• Virtual QWERTY keyboard, a pen stylus, or plectrum
• GPS, as well as Bluetooth, 3G, and Wi-Fi
• Graphic equalizer, 8GB memory, support for all main digital music formats, and a 3.5mm jack.
• Built-in surround sound stereo speakers
• New media bar interface, always accessible via a touch-sensitive button above the display
• Proximity sensor to save battery life and avoid inadvertent touches
• 111 x 51.7 x 15.5 mm, 109 gm
• Available in black, red and blue

 

Nokia 5800 Xpress music is priced at $385 (€279) and should be available in this quarter. A high priced version which includes Nokia’s “Comes With Music” feature will be available early next year.
